PLEASE NOTE: The Carl Schurz Park Volunteer Gardeners are an adult group that meets monthly to work in the park. Students or children who wish to participate must be accompanied by adults or parents who work along with them.

Earth Day

Visit 7 topical panels which will remain up throughout the summer. Join us as we showcase our work to create a more diverse, resilient, and healthy Park ecosystem.

Plant "Sale"

Join us and choose from among hundreds of the highest quality plants for your home, terrace, garden, or office.
Our spectacular annual assortment is from Beds and Borders, Long Island's premier nursery. Their annuals are used extensively in some of the most renowned gardens in our area.
You'll find a HUGE selection of magnificent, healthy, and unique plants which are certain to make your garden, terrace or window box a delight all summer long!
And remember, your contribution helps Carl Schurz Park Conservancy in its year-round beautification of the Park!

Harvest Festival

Carl Schurz Park's annual harvest fest packs a punch with plenty of exciting fall activities for the whole family.
Visit the pumpkin patch on the Mayor's Lawn at East End Avenue and East 88th Street. Pick your own pumpkin and decorate it. While supplies last.
Enjoy arts and crafts, tattoos, and take a stroll through the Spooky Trail.
Don't miss a family concert in the playground with Patrick and the Rock-a-Silly Band.

Halloween Howl & Healthy Hound Fair

Not to be missed! The HOWL is the Conservancy's annual dog costume event. Over 200 creatively costumed pups strut their stuff before a blue-chip fashion industry coven of judges!
