Member dollars provide a variety of improvements, initiatives and programs designed to enhance the safety and enjoyment of the park. Over the past years, the generosity of members has:

• Purchased plants and flowers, as well as much-needed gardening supplies and equipment.
• Renovated the large and small dog runs.
• Provided art supplies, refreshments and special programs for kids in the playground, such as Story Time and Puppets in the Parks.
• Supported annual events for the community, including the Gracie Square Art Show, Summer Concerts, Sunset Film Festival, Halloween Howl and Holiday Tree Lighting and Candlelight Caroling.
• Responded to the needs of park staff by purchasing supplies and tools as needed.
• Created a new, “Axis” garden at the southern edge of the park, along 84th Street.
• Hired a fulltime Park Enforcement Patrol Officer to ensure the park is safe, clean and friendly.
• Relandscaped the East 86th Street mall “Hoop Garden”.
