A perfect storm of wonderful kids events, sponsored by THE CARL SCHURZ PARK CONSERVANCY. All events are held in the Park playground, entrance at East End Avenue and East 84th Street.
SUNDAY, JUNE 7 -- International Children's Day with Musical Kid's International! Come enjoy Flamenco and Chinese dance demonstrations, crafts, games, face painting, traditional songs from around the world and so much more! 1-3 PM.
Bring your shakers, drums or anything that makes percussive sound so that you can join our Brazilian Drum Circle. Start the summer with a BANG! www.musicalkids.net
SUNDAY, JUNE 21 -- Come to our FATHER'S DAY FIELD DAY with ASPHALT GREEN! Take part in sports clinics and games from 1-3PM. Also celebrate MAKE MUSIC NEW YORK with musical performance by HAM AND BURGER from 12-1 PM. Puppet show with PENNY AND THE PUPUPPETTES from4-5:00 PM.

All concerts are located at the top of the East 86th Street Staricase, midway in the Park, on the esplanade overlooking the East River.
Concerts are FREE and open to the public.

SUNDAY, JUNE 21 -- "MAKE MUSIC NEW YORK", 3-4:00 PM. Percussionist ANNETTE A. AGUILAR and her band, THE STRINGBEANS, perform a concert of hot Latin jazz.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 8 -- THE EAST RIVER BLUES BAND, 7-8:30 PM. Traditional country and urban blues. (Rain date Thursday, July 9.)
WEDNESDAY, JULY 22 -- MARTHA REDBONE and her band return!, 7-8:30 PM. Old school soul, rock, funk, jazz, blues and traditional Native American music. (Rain date Thursday, July 23.)

SUNSET FILM FESTIVAL!

It's the 'YEAR OF THE WOOF!" in Carl Schurz Park as the PARK CONSERVANCY celebrates the renovation of the two Park dog runs and salutes all the good dogs in the community.
Movies are screened in the hockey & basketball courts, in the southern end of the Park along the John Finley esplanade. Screenings start at 8:30 PM.
All movies are FREE and open to the public.
AND, as always, FREE POPCORN!
Generous funding is provided by a grant from THE MANHATTAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, an ANONYMOUS DONOR and funds specifically raised by the CONSERVANCY for these events.

THE 38TH ANNUAL GRACIE SQUARE ART SHOW

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17 & 18, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, rain or shine. East End Avenue from East 84th Street to East 88th Street.
Ninety-eight professional artists exhibit and sell gallery quality art, ranging from watercolors and oil paintings to sculpture and photography. As you browse, you will find art that is appropriate for the smallest studio the largest loft or office and at a variety of prices.

Join your friends and neighbors at a cherished holiday tradition. The enchanting 50-voice YOUNG PEOPLE'S CHORUS OF NEW YORK CITY will return, as will THE ORBITAL BRASS QUINTET.
